The gray Megaware KeelGuard in the 5 ft length is made for boats up to roughly 16 ft with gray hulls or bottom paint. The extra foot of coverage over the 4 ft version protects more of the keel. It installs without special tools.
KeelGuard stops abrasion from sand, rock, concrete, and oyster beds before it can wear through the gelcoat. Its pliable blend of polymers and urethanes stays flexible on the hull. The 3M acrylic adhesive bonds and seals the edges when the surface is properly prepared.
The surface has angled grooves that create hydrodynamic channels and air pockets. It is 5 in wide and UV-stabilized for outdoor use. Browse more Keel Protectors for other options.
