The Hella Marine NaviLED 360 is a 2NM all-round anchor light on a 12-inch fold-down black base, drawing under 1 watt.
Twelve inches is the shorter base, for a boat where the lamp does not need to clear a cabin top or hardtop. The rule is that the light has to be visible from all directions, so the height needed depends on what structure sits between the lamp and an approaching vessel’s eye.
Choosing the shorter base where it works keeps the lamp less exposed to being knocked and reduces the leverage on the mount. A pole-mounted light is the thing on a foredeck most likely to catch a sheet or a boat hook, and less of it standing up means less to catch.
Under 1 watt at 2NM is efficient for a light that runs from dusk to dawn every night at anchor. The fold-down base removes the air draft when not in use, Multivolt electronics handle a range of system voltages, and each lamp is completely sealed. Explore more navigation lights.
