The GROCO ARG-2003 is the replacement sight glass for ARG-2000 series raw water strainers. It restores the clear section that shows the basket’s condition without opening the strainer. A cracked or clouded glass makes it hard to tell when the basket needs cleaning.
Sight glasses are sized to each ARG strainer model, so this one fits only the ARG-2000 series. Replacing the glass lets you keep the bronze head, cap, and the rest of the strainer in service. It is a much smaller expense than replacing the whole unit.
