The EGIS 120A 87 Series Surface-Mount Circuit Breaker adds sealed over-current protection and manual circuit switching to a battery-fed DC installation without requiring a panel cutout. It provides a local disconnect point near the protected circuit while remaining suitable for systems with substantial available battery fault current.
The breaker is sealed against dust and water and supports 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48VDC applications. It is designed to meet the newer ABYC E-11 interrupt requirements, giving the 87 Series the high interrupt capability needed for circuits connected to substantial battery banks. Ignition-protected construction also supports use in enclosed compartments where explosive gases may be present.
Stainless-steel hardware and self-locking terminal nuts help resist corrosion and vibration at the high-current connections. The reinforced base provides a secure mounting platform and keeps the breaker accessible for status checks, manual isolation, and service.
