The Coast XP9R is a 5.25 inch rechargeable tactical flashlight giving 1,000 lumens with a dual power system, a clip and a lanyard.
Dual power is the feature worth having. The light runs on its rechargeable pack day to day, and takes CR123A cells when that pack is flat, so it never becomes useless because a charger was left behind. That covers the one real weakness of a rechargeable light in the field.
Runtime spans 3 hours 10 minutes at 1,000 lumens down to 25 hours at 67 lumens, so output can be matched to the job rather than burned at full brightness. At 5.25 inches it belt-clips or drops in a pocket, and it is both water and impact resistant. Explore more handheld flashlights.
