Breakthrough Clean Rust Remover is a dedicated rust treatment for metal firearm parts and tools in a 32 oz can. Ordinary bore solvent or CLP isn’t made to remove rust that has already formed. This is the corrective step.
Treat the rusted area, then clean and protect the metal afterward. Catching surface rust early limits pitting. It also works on other metal equipment around the shop.
After removing rust, apply a protectant so it doesn’t come back. The 32 oz size covers several firearms over time. Use the cleaner or lubricant only on compatible firearm finishes and materials, especially when working on coated or polymer parts. Browse more gun cleaning and maintenance.
